    29/01/2019

On Thursday 24/1/2019, the members of the Health Committee at Asharqia Chamber held a meeting with the Assistant Undersecretary for Compliance at the Ministry of Health, Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Nuaim. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, Saud bin Mohammed al-Thamiri.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Compliance at the Ministry of Health, Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Nuaim, stressed the Ministry's keenness to develop and reduce errors in the health sector.

He revealed new legislation and procedures to make a quantum leap at various levels, most notably the self-assessment system, the development of control mechanisms and the reduction and unification of inspection bodies.

He added, "The relationship with the private sector is unique, as we come together to provide better service. We are continuing with it through various means to solve the problems, based on our conviction and belief in the role played by this sector. Our work with the private sector is moving in a balanced and positive way."

Al-Nuaim said that the Ministry has taken many steps at the level of procedures and this in partnership with the private sector.

In this regard, he stressed that the Ministry does not seek to implement the sanctions and does not want more of them. The inspection procedures are subject to a permanent evaluation and development process.

The Ministry is in the process of carrying out additional programs to train and qualify the inspectors, as no staff member will accept the job of an inspector unless he is adequately qualified, and he has the required abilities and skills.

He pointed out that the Ministry is developing the mechanism of selecting the sites of the establishments during the inspection through the electronic inspection initiative and move them to the audit phase (ensuring evaluation information) more positively in a situation where the establishments are excluded from any violations.

He stressed the Ministry's keenness to develop many procedures and regulations, especially those related to health institutions and giving them to the beneficiaries of the service of citizens and residents.

He expressed the hope of more cooperation by the private sector, especially in understanding the actions taken by the Ministry to reduce the spread of unhealthy phenomena.
